A Wedding at the Henry Ford Museum | Dearborn, MI Wedding Photographer

Wow...it's been quite a while since I've blogged, huh!  Life as we know it is full of chaos...good chaos, but it just seems that there is no time to ever sit down and just blog!

Anyway, I wanted to share with you this wedding that I photographed at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.  Wow....what a venue!  The grounds at the museum are incredible, but even more incredible was that the reception was held right in the museum, and the guests got to dance the night away around all of the cars and the hanging airplane.  Also, I couldn't have asked for a nicer couple to photograph.  The bride was absolutely stunning, gorgeous and so gracious, and the bride and groom were so in love as you will see in their smiles below!

So, now that most of my travel is over for the rest of the month, I have weddings to show you from Naples, FL, Annapolis, Maryland & Leonardtown, Maryland.....along with so many sessions from some familiar faces!  Enjoy

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mom's out there!  I hope you are having a fabulous day!

Things have been crazy around here lately.  For the past month, I've been out of town every weekend photographing weddings and doing a ton of sessions.  I've gotten to see so many "old" clients and have loved every minute of it.  However, I'm so thankful that I get to be home today spending Mother's Day with my boys!

I have a lot of sessions to share, but I'll start with this one!  You'll remember Miss R & Nemo from last year, and now she's a BIG sister!  Enjoy!

Jake's 2nd Birthday Party - Mickey Mouse Birthday | Julie Marie Portraits | Rochester, NY Photographer

If you know my son, you know that he loves Mickey Mouse.  So, when I started deciding what to do for Jake's 2nd birthday,  I knew it had to be Mickey Mouse theme!  And with that I knew I needed a couple of things:

• the cake had to be made by the one and only Dakota's Custom Confections
• the invites, banner and tags needed to be made by the super talented Kristi Young Design 
• the cookies and cake pops had to come from Stephanie's Patisserie

After I got all of that in order, I just needed to wait for my family to get here as they were bringing the cake, cookies and cake pops from Ohio.  Well, everybody made it in last weekend, and we celebrated with our family and friends.  Based on the picture below, I think you can tell Jakey had a great time!  

The cake was incredible!  I don't know how she does it!  Can you believe it also traveled 6 hours in the car from Ohio?  It made it in one piece and was absolutely perfect!

This is one of my favorite invites ever!!  I just told her it was mickey mouse theme and my colors were navy and red.  Incredible!

We love Thursday mornings in our household because of....

Jake will sit and look out the window all morning just waiting for the garbage trucks to come by! :)

Happy 2nd Birthday to our Jakey Jake!

Happy, Happy 2nd Birthday to my handsome little guy today! 

It's funny how I think about how sad I was last year at this time with him turning one, but this year, I absolutely LOVE this age.  I love that he can now have conversations with us, tell us he loves us, sings his abc's, counts to 10, talks about all of his cousins and grandparents, talks about his friends, loves on his doggy, Dexter, plays with his cars and plays ball ALL OF THE TIME, uses his manners (pease, thanky, cuse me), feeds his doggy every day, LOVES to read books, sings lots of songs and most of all, I love those little kisses that he gives us and his armless hugs.  He has truly brought us more joy than we could have ever imagined!  We love you, Jakey Jake!  Happy Birthday little guy!

Oh Happy Monday! | Julie Marie Portraits

Although the temperature in Rochester has returned to freezing cold, it was great to wake up and see my niece's birthday party featured on Amy Atlas Event's site!  If you haven't been to Amy Atlas before, you must check it out!  It features some of the most fabulous parties ever, and it is such an honor to have my photos up on her site!  Yay! :)

So, a little bit of background....I did a photoshoot with Libby Lane Press, and I fell in love with the whole pajama and pancake themed invite that she had.  Of course, I instantly called my sister and told her she had to do my niece's birthday party that way.  My sister had some ideas and asked LLP to design her a pink chevron stripe/navy invite, and voila....the party planning began!   It was nothing short of spectacular, and my niece LOVED everything about this party!  Great job to my sister!   (and check out her site to see where my nephew's birthday party was recently featured!)

Love, love, love this cutie patootie!  Seriously, can she get any cuter?  Umm, no!  She's not only beautiful, but she is seriously the sweetest little girl!  She's also extra special to us because when we moved to Rochester in the fall, Miss L & her mama were one of our first friends here!  We love getting together with them, and Jake loves all the cool toys that she has at her home! :)   Hope you enjoy the pix!
