J &J in their Christmas PJ's
The Three Musketeers...
Beautiful Miss J all grown up with her newly pierced ears.
Best Buds:
J was showing me something on the tree...(Don't you just love the sunvisor with the Christmas pj's...too cute!)
It was the snowman ornament that Nana made for him. Isn't it the cutest little snowman.
Next Up: Rudolph...
This is a little necklace that Nana and my sister made.
J wanted to show it off although he refused to look at the camera:
This last picture is one that J made at school with his little hands and feet. How creative, huh!

Reality is Setting In...Julie Marie Portraits DELAWARE Photographer
Yesterday, I knew my parents were coming up in the afternoon. What I didn't know, though, is that they brought my nephew, J, up to visit for the afternoon. I was so excited to see all of them. In fact, I had J's birthday packages all packed to go to Delaware, but I decided to let him open up just one. It was his John Deere lawnmower. It was a bit smaller then what I thought it would be, but J didn't care! He was down pushing the buttons, starting it, etc... My sister said today that he was showing her how to "start" the mower and change the oil!
Which now brings me to the pix that I took yesterday. I can't help but think that my days are numbered when it comes to being able to see my family as often as I'd like. I knew it was coming, but it seemed like it was so far off and now it's only a week and a half away and reality is setting in. Tonight, all I could do is cry while packing some things and thinking about not seeing my family weekly or at least every other week. I guess, though, that I'm happy that it's making me so sad b/c it only shows how important and how much my family means to me! The good thing is that I'll be back at the end of February/1st of March, and if I get too homesick, I will likely just hop on a plane and fly home for a weekend. So, enough of me telling you how sad and how hard it is for me to move away...
Here is J showing off his new lawnmower...
A picture of Nana and Papa....(i was playing around with textures, hence the "noise" you see in the picture)
Ahh....and last but not least....J and I (another texture added to this picture...a little funky but something different)
This is what I'm going to miss the most....getting that big hug and kiss every time I see him. I guess he'll just have to save them up for when I get to visit him!

Remember Miss O.... Julie Marie Portraits DELAWARE Photographer
If you remember last month, I had the pleasure of getting some shots of Miss O and her parents. Well, today, I had the pleasure of meeting the rest of the family. What a great bunch! Miss O's grandparents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year, and I found out that the date was May 24th. I can only hope that since my wedding date is May 24, 2009 that we will get as many years as they have! Thanks again "P" family! Here are just a few from today....

Little Miss....... Julie Marie Portraits DELAWARE Photographer
Remember a while back when I had posted that Miss L had won Little Miss Michigan. Well, today, I had the honor of photographing Miss L and her little sister, Miss N again. I just love these girls! Miss L was a trooper and braved some outdoor shots while Miss N was my fabulous assistant again! Here are a few of my favorites from today...

The Perfect Holiday Gift Julie Marie Portraits * DELAWARE PHOTOGRAPHER
If you're looking for that perfect gift, you need to check out Lisa Leonard Designs (http://www.lisaleonardonline.com). I know I've blogged about her stuff before, but it's great pieces of jewelry and you know they're not going to get something like it! Here is one thing that I just received from her today. I would love to show you the front, but that would give it away, and I don't want the receiver of this gift to see it yet!! On this particular gift, I had the family member's names put on the front. It is way too cute! Check out Lisa's website, and you can see for yourself!
It even comes wrapped in the cutest little box with some ribbon and a gift tag.

Decorating for the Holidays Julie Marie Portraits (DELAWARE PHOTOGRAPHER)
Well, since I'm moving, i have not gotten any of my holiday decorations out. I think that's maybe why it doesn't seem like the holidays will be here before we know it! Anyway, I did want to show you some of my sister's decorations in her foyer. She's so crafty and always looking to change something up. She should have been an interior decorator, but then again, she can't ever make up her mind on what she wants to do or else she wants to change it right after she finishes it. I hope you enjoy!
The Bay Bridge Julie Marie Portraits - DELAWARE Photographer
Each time I go to visit J in Delaware, we have to cross over the Bay Bridge. Well, neither J nor I are really fond of bridges, but luckily, I got to sit in the passenger seat and snap some photos while he drover over the Bay Bridge. And I might add that there were 40ph winds yesterday during our drive. Needless to say, I was really, really nervous about driving over this bridge and getting on an airplane, but it turned out to be just fine! I had the best time in Delaware, and I promise to tell you more later.
Hope everybody had a good weekend! (these are just a few where I was playing around with the effect on the pix)

The BlaBla Dolls... Julie Marie Portraits Delaware, SE Michigan, NW Ohio Photographer
Besides J's blankie, she now has a favorite toy...It's her "Blabla" doll named "Bubbles". Both my nephew and niece have a collection of them, and in the picture below, it shows you a few. They also have the cutest names....Lollie, Lulu, Mozart and Barry are the names of the ones in the picture.
Look at how much fun she is having playing with her "blabla's"!!!
Yesterday, my sister said J had not taken an afternoon nap...instead, she was playing in her crib. Well, I took this shot on Sunday, so it's no surprise. She gets in there and plays and plays and plays!

Blog Layout.....Holiday Fun: The Bright Red Coats... Julie Marie Portraits Delaware, SE Michigan, NW Ohio Photographer
Ok, so I am learning how to change my blog, so please be patient with me! (i know the basics of computers, but I have yet to learn how to change all of the codes, etc...) :) Anyway, it looks like this one worked!
So, besides trying to figure out this blog layout, I'm also trying to get ready for the weekend. I can hardly wait for Friday to come...(You're probably asking why b/c most people love FRIDAYS) Well, I am going to DELAWARE for the weekend and can hardly wait to see J! Hope everybody is having a good week and has a great weekend, too!
