My Crazy Life

Not really crazy....just fun!  This past weekend, my mom, sister, niece and nephew came out to visit.  We had a great time although I was sick, my niece broke out in hives from being sick and taking an antibiotic, my little Jakers continues to have a cold/run a fever and my nephew had numerous coughing spells that resulted in using his breathing machine.....but other than that, I loved every minute with them, and I miss them so much already!  I just hate it when they leave...I know that i'll see them in a little over a month, but to me, it just never gets easier seeing them head back to the airport!

So......so much for trying to get 3 crazy kiddos to cooperate for pictures!  This is what we ended up with!

Magnus-The Loveable Dog...Julie Marie Portraits, Baltimore Pet Photographer

For those of you that are pet lovers, this blog post will just remind you to love your pets even more today (& everyday) and give them some extra special lovin'!

Meet Magnus....so loving, playful and just full of life. However, this puppy only has a few weeks left to live. His mom had asked me to take some pictures of him because they just found out that he had cancer and only had a few weeks to live. I seriously hung up the phone with her and found my puppy and just played with him, gave him extra kisses and just did whatever he wanted me to do (including giving him lots of treats). Sometimes I think we take our pets for granted, but when you hear something like this, it just makes you think about and realize how much they mean to us, and I can't imagine not having our Dex in our lives!

Anyway, as you will see in the pix below, he just loves his mommy and daddy, and they absolutely love him. It was so nice meeting everyone! Enjoy all of your time with Magnus!! Hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

This picture just says it all....

Maternity Fun...Julie Marie Portraits, Rehoboth Beach Photographer

Check out this mom-to-be.....she definitely has the glow going on! She is due one week after me, and I couldn't get over how tiny she was. Anyway, I got to meet up with her down in Rehoboth and this photo shoot is a surprise for the soon-to-be daddy! He kept telling her he wanted pictures, and she kept blowing him off, but I think he will be pleasantly surprised when he gets to see these! A -- it was no nice meeting you and your parents, too! Hope you enjoy and best of luck!

Fun-Filled 4th!!....Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Children's Photographer

I have not been a very good blogger, but there's good reason for that......we had family in from Pittsburgh visiting, and I had decided to not schedule any sessions because I wanted to spend all of my time with them. So, needless to say, we had the best 4th of July, and now it's a little quiet, lonely and a little sad in our house today because they left bright and early this morning. Even J said after they left that it was sad to see them go. I miss hearing Miss L say ,"outside" (if you could only hear her sweet, sweet voice) and miss the sounds of the little guys having fun playing, swimming & watching Dexter run all over the house following them around b/c he thought he might miss something.

Anyway, I was really bad b/c I hardly had my camera out, but I did capture a few, so I hope you enjoy!!

This first one was taken at 7:40 this morning before they left....such cuties!

Miss L holding Uncle J's hand.....

To DV who mentioned to my sister that she missed the music on my blog....the music is back on!!
For those of you that emailed me over the weekend, I will be catching up on returning those emails today!

Girls Day.... Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Photographer

Meet my other bff, K! I got to see her over the weekend in DC for a much needed girls weekend! We've been friends since meeting our freshman year in college. You all know that I have my twin sister, but K is just like a sister. In fact, we're more like sisters than anything and she, too, can read me like a book. We had the best time shopping in Georgetown, getting our makeup done and just hanging out. Thanks, K...I had the best time and miss you already! :)

I just love this picture of K below.....not sure what she was laughing about but isn't she just beautiful!

Here's just a collection of pix taken while in Georgetown

Reality is Setting In...Julie Marie Portraits DELAWARE Photographer

Yesterday, I knew my parents were coming up in the afternoon. What I didn't know, though, is that they brought my nephew, J, up to visit for the afternoon. I was so excited to see all of them. In fact, I had J's birthday packages all packed to go to Delaware, but I decided to let him open up just one. It was his John Deere lawnmower. It was a bit smaller then what I thought it would be, but J didn't care! He was down pushing the buttons, starting it, etc... My sister said today that he was showing her how to "start" the mower and change the oil!

Which now brings me to the pix that I took yesterday. I can't help but think that my days are numbered when it comes to being able to see my family as often as I'd like. I knew it was coming, but it seemed like it was so far off and now it's only a week and a half away and reality is setting in. Tonight, all I could do is cry while packing some things and thinking about not seeing my family weekly or at least every other week. I guess, though, that I'm happy that it's making me so sad b/c it only shows how important and how much my family means to me! The good thing is that I'll be back at the end of February/1st of March, and if I get too homesick, I will likely just hop on a plane and fly home for a weekend. So, enough of me telling you how sad and how hard it is for me to move away...

Here is J showing off his new lawnmower...

A picture of Nana and Papa....(i was playing around with textures, hence the "noise" you see in the picture)

Ahh....and last but not least....J and I (another texture added to this picture...a little funky but something different)
This is what I'm going to miss the most....getting that big hug and kiss every time I see him. I guess he'll just have to save them up for when I get to visit him!
