My Super Cute Niece & Nephew....Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Children's Photographer

I am back after not blogging for over a week. I had my mom, sister, niece and nephew in last weekend and guess what.....we all got the stomach flu. Today is the first day that I actually feel great and nothing hurts, but my husband came home today and he now has the flu. I'm hoping he doesn't give it back to me!

Anyway, although we were all sick, I did get a few pictures of my gorgeous little niece and handsome nephew. I just love these two and miss them so much! Of course, I cried when they left, and my sweet little nephew said.."It's ok, Aunt JuJu, you'll be home in a few days with your new baby"...I wish, but it will be soon enough!

My new favorite picture of my gorgeous niece! She is just too darn sweet! If you could only hear her talk....she is hilarious! I took her out by herself and she would only stick to me like glue and wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken....so, i had a package of some cookies that they had gotten on the airplane and I had to break them off and feed her. In this particular picture, I was holding onto the camera with one hand and tossing the cookie up in the air and catching it and sure enough, I got a smile!

Yes, there is cookie in her mouth, but she was running after me and she looks so cute!

My super handsome nephew who was the first one to get sick. He still was not feeling well, but he was a trooper and went to get some pix.


And this last one cracks me up.....he was on car duty and was laughing at me b/c I kept telling him to look for cars!

Baby O...Julie Marie Portraits (Washington, DC Baby Photographer)

Meet Baby O. Isn't he the most handsome little guy ever! I have to admit....I couldn't narrow down my blog post, so you're going to see quite of few of him! Anyway, I was excited to go and meet him....they live in a very cool area in DC and have a great row home. If it would have been a little warmer out, I would have had them come outside for the shoot b/c it was such a quaint area with lots of photo opps!! So...back to baby O. He was just the sweetest little guy when I met him and was bound and determined to stay awake for the entire shoot. His mom and dad were great, too. In fact, mom was going to be celebrating her birthday the next day and her present was.....dad was going to stay up with Baby O all night. WOW....isn't that a great bday present. (I'm already thinking that my hubby can give me presents like that all of the time once our baby comes!!)

So, enough of me talking.....meet Baby O!

I heard the title to this post playing earlier, and I couldn't get it out of my head. So, while doing this blog post, I was like, hmmm....it fits M & B. I had the pleasure of meeting up with them in downtown Dover. Right away B told me that she just doesn't look good in pictures or makes weird looks, and I was like sure...... As you can see, she looks like a model in her engagement pictures with her handsome fiance! They were great...I had them walking around downtown Dover, and they were up for anything. Thanks, guys! It was great meeting both of you, and I'm looking forward to your wedding this summer!

New Year|New Look...Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Portrait Photographer

I've been wanting to update my identity/look at JMP for a while, and I thought now was the perfect time since it was a new year! I contacted the super talented designer, Kristi Young of Kristi Young Design, who also created my holiday card collection, to help me do just that! She was fantastic! I told her that I wanted something fresh, modern and fun and voila...... With the new look, comes new packaging, too! I'm still in the process of getting all of my supplies, but for now, here is a sneak peek!






On one of the designs that she was creating for me to choose from, I asked her to do something with a lab. I had such a hard time deciding, but she was gracious enough to throw in the lab, too....I just love it and call it my Dexter Dog Logo! It is being incorporated into my packaging, and you'll be seeing it appear on my blog and website, too...

So, here is the latest 3d picture of our little guy until we get to meet him in March! (if you're on facebook and friends with me, you've already seen this!) I just can't stop looking at his picture and we are so in love with him already!

The nursery is complete with everything that we need except for the decorating. The decorating will be done in a couple of weeks by my sister who is a great decorator (and my mom will be adding some special touches, too)!! I will definitely be sharing some photos of it once completed!! Also, if you have any ideas on names, please feel free to pass them along. Our little guy remains nameless since we can't agree on anything! :) (I would really like a "J" name, but.....)

Engagement Fun.....Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting up with this couple on a cold, cold winter day in Dover! They were great.....i was all bundled up while they would take off their jackets and gloves so that we could get some pix then they would get bundled back up again. It also happened to be super windy which made it that much more cold!!!

Anyway, they have a wedding come up in June, and I can hardly wait to photograph that. It sounds like it is going to be just beautiful. Thanks C & H for braving the cold! It was great meeting both of you! Hope you enjoy the sneak peeks!

Happy New Year 2010!!! Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Photographer

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's 2010! I was just telling my hubby that we had a great 2009 (moved to Delaware, got married, found out we were having a baby), and 2010 will even be better since we're adding to our family!

There will be lots of new things for JMP, so keep checking in on the blog!

In the meantime, I wanted to share a few pictures of my niece and nephew from over the Christmas break! My hubby and I flew back to Ohio for Christmas and had a great time with my family and friends! My sister (my mom helped, too---thx!) also had a baby shower for me, and I got to see so many of my close friends and family and also got tons of fabulous gifts for Baby Trust...(who by the way remains nameless since we can't agree on anything!)

So, enough of me typing/talking..... Happy New Year everybody! Hope 2010 is a great year for you!

This last one is a picture from Christmas Day. My very talented dad made my nephew this barn/toy box. It was the coolest thing ever! J man loved it and miss J loved it, too! They would work (play with all of the tractors and construction vehicles) then head into the barn and peak out of the windows then go to sleep....too darn cute!!!
