Hi Everybody!  I apologize for the lapse in blog posts, but I wanted to let y'all know that it's because of vacation and traveling and just being plain busy!!  I promise to come back in August with lots of blog posts for y'all to see what we've been up to!  I have lots of beach sessions, Ohio sessions, friend's photos & weddings to blog.  Until then.....I will leave you with this fun session....don't y'all just LOVE summer vacation at the beach!

Meet the "U" family! I just love this family! I've known them since I was 19 yrs old when I met K in college, and they've been like family ever since! Anyway, my best friend, K, had a baby a few weeks after me, so we decided that we'd both travel back to Ohio to visit our families, and I'd meet up with her family to do a photo shoot along with her sister's engagement photos (remember K &S three posts back?). They've been patiently waiting for their photos, (although you may have seen some of them if you're a fan on facebook), so without further ado......meet the beautiful "U" family:

Pure Sweetness-Happy 1st Birthday!..Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Children's Photographer

Remember Miss R....well, here are a couple of her trying out birthday cake for her upcoming 1st birthday this week. She was too funny. She dug right into that cake and ate and ate and ate.....until the frosting went up her nose which then she wasn't sure what to do!
Not only did she get frosting on her face and little hands, but she got it on her little feet, too!

One word for this little girl...BABYLICIOUS! She was just the cutest little thing and I loved her little rolls, contagious smile and gorgeous eyes. And...I almost didn't get to meet her. I think we had to reschedule 3 or 4 times b/c of the snow and to make matters worse...she was moving to California and it just so happened that on the day they were moving to Cali, I was able to meet her and get some photos! Her grandmother was over, so we got to do some generation shots, too! Thanks, guys! I'm so glad I got to meet you and hope the move went well!

My new favorite...I couldn't decide which I like better...the b/w or color one, so you get to see both!

Spearmint Baby

If you have not been on Spearmint Baby, you're missing out. They feature nurseries, kiddos bedrooms, DIY items and contests, and I was so excited to see that they picked my nursery to feature on Tuesday. Here are a few of the pix....my favorite item in the nursery is the dog above the bed...if you remember, this is part of the logo that I'm using for my photography business designed by Kristi Young of Kristi Young Design My mom and sister helped me with this....we traced it on 9 12x12 canvases and painted it.

Just look at this little guy's cheeks......they are so cute and all you want to do is eat him up! He was just the sweetest little guy ever and so full of smiles! He also has those gorgeous dark, dark eyes....too cute!

Anyway, this is the cousin to the newborn in the previous post. I had so much fun with all of them. You should have seen Little B around his cousin....the two of them are very lucky to be growing up close to each other because you can just tell they'll be best buds! So enough of me talking........

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! Hope you've had a wonderful day/weekend! I have been really bad about updating my blog, but I promise you there will be more posts this week, so please stay tuned!

I am back after not blogging for over a week. I had my mom, sister, niece and nephew in last weekend and guess what.....we all got the stomach flu. Today is the first day that I actually feel great and nothing hurts, but my husband came home today and he now has the flu. I'm hoping he doesn't give it back to me!

Anyway, although we were all sick, I did get a few pictures of my gorgeous little niece and handsome nephew. I just love these two and miss them so much! Of course, I cried when they left, and my sweet little nephew said.."It's ok, Aunt JuJu, you'll be home in a few days with your new baby"...I wish, but it will be soon enough!

My new favorite picture of my gorgeous niece! She is just too darn sweet! If you could only hear her talk....she is hilarious! I took her out by herself and she would only stick to me like glue and wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken....so, i had a package of some cookies that they had gotten on the airplane and I had to break them off and feed her. In this particular picture, I was holding onto the camera with one hand and tossing the cookie up in the air and catching it and sure enough, I got a smile!

Yes, there is cookie in her mouth, but she was running after me and she looks so cute!

My super handsome nephew who was the first one to get sick. He still was not feeling well, but he was a trooper and went to get some pix.


And this last one cracks me up.....he was on car duty and was laughing at me b/c I kept telling him to look for cars!
