LOVE

Love - this word clearly describes the couple below!  I had the pleasure of photographing this wedding in Dover, Delaware with the help of second shooter, Joanne.  It was a beautiful day and a very beautiful and elegant wedding filled with lots of family and friends.    Thanks R & S for allowing me to be a part of your day!  Hope you had a fantastic honeymoon, and you are enjoying married life!

One detail that I had to share.....if you look at the last photos, you'll see "exit" signs that were used for the table decorations!  The exits represented how many exits the bride and groom lived apart and how many exits that had to go past to be together!  How creative!!

Is JMP Back? | Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Wedding Photographer

Yep...JMP is back! You may have noticed that the blog has been pretty quiet for the past two months.  Well, part of the reason is because everybody has had their share of sicknesses, and we've had a lot of visitors....but the main reason is because I had decided that I was taking two months off.  My baby boy turned 11 months old yesterday, and I just feel like these past 11 months of his life have went by way too quickly !  I've really struggled this past year with feeling guilty for not spending every second with my little guy, and I decided that I needed to do something about that guilt!  So....I'm now slowly getting back to work, and you can expect to see some more action on the blog (as well as playing catch-up on the blog from last year's sessions, too)!  JMP has a lot of exciting things going on this year....a Vegas wedding, a Maine wedding, a Florida wedding, a New York wedding, 2 Pittsburgh weddings, Virginia weddings, Delaware weddings and lots & lots of fun kiddos/family sessions already scheduled!

And without further ado....I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous couple recently in Dover.  What a great session for me to start back to work with, huh!  Hope you enjoy the photos!  Congratulations to B&C on their engagement and their upcoming wedding on 9.10.11 that will be held in the bride's home state of Nevada!

Engagement Fun.....Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting up with this couple on a cold, cold winter day in Dover! They were great.....i was all bundled up while they would take off their jackets and gloves so that we could get some pix then they would get bundled back up again. It also happened to be super windy which made it that much more cold!!!

Anyway, they have a wedding come up in June, and I can hardly wait to photograph that. It sounds like it is going to be just beautiful. Thanks C & H for braving the cold! It was great meeting both of you! Hope you enjoy the sneak peeks!

Love, love, love this one below....(it is now one of the pix in my new blog header)

Gotta Love Crate & Barrel.......Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Portrait Photographer

J & I just received some fun gifts from Crate and Barrel. I just love that store, and I miss being able to run to Somerset Mall to shop there whenever I wanted to! There's not a lot of shopping right here in Dover (Ok, maybe one boutique that is great -- it's Bel Boutique and look for more to come from this great boutique!) , but luckly we have online shopping!!! So, anyway, I just wanted to show you the gift that we received today.... I'm looking forward to using this out at the pool! (it's all acrylic except for the ice bucket)

We're Moving.. .Julie Marie Portraits

Well, it's official.  We are moving to Dover, DE.  For those of you with sessions booked, no worries b/c I'm sticking around for a little while until we can find a home.   I'll also be flying back and forth often, so for my MI & OH clients, you may not even know I've left the state!

These past few weeks have been extremely hard, but I can actually say (now) that I'm a little bit excited to go and try something new.  Plus, it will be fun exploring the state and surrounding areas as I start up a "new" photography business.   The only thing that hurts  (yes, it's bringing tears thinking about it) is the fact that I have to leave my niece and nephew in Ohio.  The longest that I've ever went without seeing them is three weeks and even that amount of time has been very few and far between.  I guess I will be racking up my frequent flier miles cuz I still want to be the cool "Aunt JuJu" and see J&J light up each time I see them!  As for our niece and nephews in PA, we'll be about the same drive time distance and actually, flights to visit them are extremely cheap, and I'm hoping we'll get to see them even more!

So, I can only hope that 2009 will be the best year ever for us.  We have three major life changing events to get through - new job for J, the move & marriage.   I will keep everybody posted as to what is going on with us, but in the meantime, if you are still interested in booking a session, feel free to contact me (419-343-7268), and we can see what I can work out before the move.
