My Sweet Baby Boy....Julie Marie Portraits
I have been a bad blogger....I have every intention of blogging each night, but I hate to put down my sweet baby boy!
Check out baby Jake's birth announcement! The super talented Kristi Young of Kristi Young Design designed it. I just love it. She is so talented, and if you're in need of any announcements, wedding invites, save-the-date cards, anytime cards, etc...you should check her out! Thank-you, Kristi!!
I just got all of the announcements addressed, so they're ready to go out except that I need stamps. (I wonder how long it will take me to make it to the post office to buy stamps....that would require me to put down my Jakers!)
And of course, I have to post two more pics of my little monkey that were taken today!! I just love him so much!
Jake's Mr. Serious look....actually, he's doing tummy time in this one and doesn't exactly like it! :)
Check out his chubb...I just love every ounce of him!!
On a side note...I am slowly going back to work. Upcoming: a wedding, a senior session, a gala, etc...

Our Little Bundle of Joy....Julie Marie Portraits
Introducing Jake Martin Trust...aka Jake, Jakers, Jake Martin, cuddle bug, little man, little monkey, bubba & mama's little guy...oh, and he gets the occasional "jack" (from my husband who forgets and calls him by my nephews name). He was born on April 1, 2010 at 2:45am and today he's already 1 week old today. His Aunt Jen, Nana and Papa were here to welcome him into the world. We're so thankful that they were all here to meet him. There were lots of tears when Aunt Jen had to leave, but she'll be back soon. My mom and dad (nana & papa) are heading back to Ohio tomorrow, and I get tears just thinking about them leaving. They've been such a huge help!
I don't even have the words to describe how I feel about this little guy except that he's just the greatest gift that God could have given us. It's honestly the most wonderful thing that could have ever happened to my husband and I, and we just love him more than anything in this world. He's absolutely perfect! Everybody said that the love that you will have for your own child is so different than any other love, and I could never quite comprehend that, but now I can say that i know exactly what they mean.
I'm going to keep this brief, but I wanted to share the wonderful news with everybody and also let you know I will be responding to emails shortly and plan to have everything returned this weekend.

Pure Sweetness-Happy 1st Birthday!..Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Children's Photographer
Remember Miss R....well, here are a couple of her trying out birthday cake for her upcoming 1st birthday this week. She was too funny. She dug right into that cake and ate and ate and ate.....until the frosting went up her nose which then she wasn't sure what to do!
Not only did she get frosting on her face and little hands, but she got it on her little feet, too!

A Timeless, Classic, Beautiful Wedding .......Julie Marie Portraits, Baltimore Wedding Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing this wedding on Saturday in Baltimore. I just love this couple. I met them last spring, and from then on, we became friends. They are made for each other, and they are so happy and so in love. When the best man and maid of honor were giving their speeches, they talked about how wonderful this bride & groom were, and I couldn't agree more.
The bride's father was great....he was videotaping the whole thing (c him in the background) :)

Look Who's Turning 1...Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Children's Photographer
My next door neighbor, R, is turning 1 very soon. This was my last session taken before officially going on "maternity" leave! And what a fun session to end with. She is too funny and too cute....she is getting to be such a big girl and no doubt she will be walking and running very soon!

Magnus-The Loveable Dog...Julie Marie Portraits, Baltimore Pet Photographer
For those of you that are pet lovers, this blog post will just remind you to love your pets even more today (& everyday) and give them some extra special lovin'!
Meet Magnus....so loving, playful and just full of life. However, this puppy only has a few weeks left to live. His mom had asked me to take some pictures of him because they just found out that he had cancer and only had a few weeks to live. I seriously hung up the phone with her and found my puppy and just played with him, gave him extra kisses and just did whatever he wanted me to do (including giving him lots of treats). Sometimes I think we take our pets for granted, but when you hear something like this, it just makes you think about and realize how much they mean to us, and I can't imagine not having our Dex in our lives!
Anyway, as you will see in the pix below, he just loves his mommy and daddy, and they absolutely love him. It was so nice meeting everyone! Enjoy all of your time with Magnus!! Hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

What I love about these is that I have them on hand and I don't have to run out to Target to buy a card every time I need one. Now I can just grab one of these fabulous cards to send out! Maternity Fun...Julie Marie Portraits, Rehoboth Beach Photographer
Check out this mom-to-be.....she definitely has the glow going on! She is due one week after me, and I couldn't get over how tiny she was. Anyway, I got to meet up with her down in Rehoboth and this photo shoot is a surprise for the soon-to-be daddy! He kept telling her he wanted pictures, and she kept blowing him off, but I think he will be pleasantly surprised when he gets to see these! A -- it was no nice meeting you and your parents, too! One word for this little girl...BABYLICIOUS! She was just the cutest little thing and I loved her little rolls, contagious smile and gorgeous eyes. And...I almost didn't get to meet her. I think we had to reschedule 3 or 4 times b/c of the snow and to make matters worse...she was moving to California and it just so happened that on the day they were moving to Cali, I was able to meet her and get some photos! Her grandmother was over, so we got to do some generation shots, too! Thanks, guys! I'm so glad I got to meet you and hope the move went well!

Spearmint Baby
