Magnus-The Loveable Dog...Julie Marie Portraits, Baltimore Pet Photographer

For those of you that are pet lovers, this blog post will just remind you to love your pets even more today (& everyday) and give them some extra special lovin'!

Meet Magnus....so loving, playful and just full of life. However, this puppy only has a few weeks left to live. His mom had asked me to take some pictures of him because they just found out that he had cancer and only had a few weeks to live. I seriously hung up the phone with her and found my puppy and just played with him, gave him extra kisses and just did whatever he wanted me to do (including giving him lots of treats). Sometimes I think we take our pets for granted, but when you hear something like this, it just makes you think about and realize how much they mean to us, and I can't imagine not having our Dex in our lives!

Anyway, as you will see in the pix below, he just loves his mommy and daddy, and they absolutely love him. It was so nice meeting everyone! Enjoy all of your time with Magnus!! Hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

This picture just says it all....

Long & Lazy Weekend, Julie Marie Portraits (Delaware Portrait Photographer)

Well, I'm sure most of you heard about the big snowstorm that came through the East Coast....and Delaware was part of that and we got somewhere around 20 or so inches of snow. Needless to say, we were "stuck" home all weekend, but I'm loving it! We got caught up on sleep and watched quite a few movies. I'm also almost caught up with all of my editing and holiday orders and have one more blog post to put up before we travel back to Ohio for Christmas!!! My husband said tonight he was a little bored, but to be honest I can't remember the last time we were both home for an entire weekend....sort of nice! So...here's just one picture of Dexter outside the back door waiting to come in....the snow was literally as tall as him in some areas because of drifting..but I love the snow hanging on his cute, cute face in this pic!

I'm Back....Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Beach Photographer

It seems like forever since I've posted anything on my blog, but we've been crazy busy. We were in Pittsburgh for a long weekend, and it just seems like we've been on the go non-stop.

Anyway, I'm glad to be back and share you photos from a session that I took with a great family! First of all, a big THANK-YOU to them for being so patient and kind. We had made plans to meet at Henlopen State Park along the Delaware beach, but I didn't realize there were TWO entrances.....and yep...you guessed it....I went to the wrong location. They were so much fun, and the little kiddos were absolutely gorgeous. They also coordinated in black/white outfits, and it looked great! In fact, on the way home, I was texting my sister-in-law and said we need to do the black/white outfits for our beach pictures in July!
Thanks again everyone! It was so much fun meeting everybody! Hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

How cute are these kiddos!?!?!?!

The Whole Gang

Just Feet......including Gracie's (the dog)

Isn't she just gorgeous!

Gracie.....the most adorable gentle giant!

Lots more coming, so stay tuned!

Dexter and I were out playing fetch and the ball went into the field. Dexter went out to fetch it BUT it was nowhere to be found.

The Infamous Dexter Pose.... Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Portrait Photographer

Yep..you guessed it! I caught Dexter up on our bed taking a little snoozer. Luckily, I had my camera close by and got a few of him with his infamous pose....his paws crossed.

(this post is mainly for my dad who told me last week that he really misses Dexter!) :)

Blogger Vacation....Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Portrait Photographer

I wanted to let all my blog followers know that I'm going to be on "blogger" vacation. Actually, that would be considered an Ohio visit. You might get a sneak peak while I'm gone, but it looks like you'll likely just need to keep checking in to see if there are any new posts. :) Once I'm back, look for some exciting things happening with Julie Marie Portraits!

I also wanted to remind you that if you are interested in the special that is running now through the end of February, please contact me by Feb. 28th. You will be guaranteed the special if you contact me by that time!

Of course, I had to share a picture of Dexter playing with his frisbee....Actually, as soon as he goes outside, he runs for his frisbee (or any toy rather) and comes running back for you to play tug of war with him.

And....in case you're wondering what my two guys do when I'm not around......you will find the both on the sofa (Dexter is not suppose to be up there, either!)

This is Where I Found Dexter Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Photographer

This morning after we got up, I wondered why Dexter went back upstairs... So, I went upstairs and this is where I found him: He was in one of the guest bedrooms lying on the bed. What was he doing up there? Watching the kiddos standing outside waiting for the school bus to pick them up.

Dexter & the bone.... Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Photographer

Dexter got a special treat last night...some bones to chomp on. He absolutely LOVES treats! Of course, though, when he has the treats, he pays no attention to us. So, as you can tell, I think he was getting a little "annoyed" while I was trying to get some pictures. (my favorite is the bottom left...the bone rolled off his bed and he had his cute "puppy" look)

The "NEW" Green Chair Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Photographer

I just purchased this "new" or rather "old" green chair for a little bit of nothing. I know...you're probably wondering why I would want this chair??? Well, to answer your question, I thought it would be a fun chair to take out to use as a prop for some of my mini-photo sessions. Also, can't you see a little girl on here with her bright pink tutu up against the green....how cute would that be!!! And you guessed it...Dexter is the first one to try out the chair.

Meet Sabrina the Cat Julie Marie Portraits, DELAWARE PHOTOGRAPHER

Meet Sabrina...isn't she a beautiful cat! On Friday, the husband contacted me to see about taking some pictures of their cat because the cat is getting very old and not in the best shape. This cat is extra special to mom. When I got there, the cat was just the sweetest cat ever and so were it's mom and dad. I was able to get some shots that hopefully they'll be able to treasure. It's funny how attached you can get to your pet. I ended up telling Sabrina's mom that after I hung up the phone on Friday, I quickly went to take some shots of Dexter (hence the Friday post). I can't imagine not having Dexter by my side every day. Pets are just the greatest thing in the world and the one thing that can't be beat is their unconditional love.

J&J's visit to Delaware Julie Marie Portraits, Delaware Photographer

I just wanted to share some pix of my famiy's visit to Delaware. As you can see, we all had a lot of fun! It's nice to have my house clean again, though (only kidding, of course! I'd take a messy house any day if you all were still here!).

Naked Sis...or almost naked! Look at that chubby belly. You can't help but just want to eat her up!! :)

J and his Papa
Papa aka my dad drove with me to Delaware right after Christmas and my dad did so much for me. He can pretty much do anything and everything (except stop smoking). J loves to be like Papa. Whenever Papa has his tools out, J's right there with Papa helping him work on something. I'm not sure what I'd do without my dad...not only because he does so much for me, but because of the kind of person he is!. Thanks, Dad, for all you do!! My house has been so quiet today b/c everybody's gone. I tried talking my dad into just staying and moving in, but he needed to get back. :( No, seriously, though, I'm already looking forward to my mom and dad and my family coming back to visit. It was so hard saying good-bye to everybody yesterday, and the funny thing is is that I'm going to see them in 7 weeks. Yesterday, when we were almost to the airport to drop everybody off, my brother-in-law text my sister asking if the car was flooding b/c of all the tears. Well, the answer was yes. Today, I was fine until tonight as I was going through the pictures and writing this. I miss you all and love you!!!
